Unit 703 sits on the 7th floor, the top of the building. There are no footsteps above you, just the Gulf breeze and open views of the Emerald Coast from the east wing.
Start the day with coffee on the private balcony and watch for dolphins in the clear water. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and everything you need to cook. Eat at the dining table, or take dinner out to the balcony for the sunset.

What do the beach flags mean?
Destin beaches fly warning flags every day. Check them before you swim:
- Green: low hazard, calm conditions
- Yellow: medium hazard, moderate surf or currents
- Red: high hazard, high surf or strong currents
- Double red: water closed to the public
- Purple: dangerous marine life, such as jellyfish
Rip currents are the biggest risk on the Gulf. If one pulls you out, swim parallel to the shore until you are free, then swim back in.
What happens if a hurricane is coming?
Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. If authorities order an evacuation, follow their instructions and leave the resort. Cancellations and refunds follow Islander Resort's rental terms, which you can review before you book. Travel insurance is worth considering for summer and fall stays.

Yes. Islander Resort has two pools, and one is heated year-round.
